What activities are available?
There’s something for everyone at the 5th Annual Black Miners Bar Juneteenth Festival:
- Lakeside Concert – Live music and entertainment on the lake all day long.
- Living History – Step into the story of the Black gold miners who settled here in 1849, the earliest Black community on record in California.
- Beer Garden – Relax with a cold drink lakeside (21 and over with valid ID).
- Water Sports & Rentals – Get out on Lake Natoma for a swim or endulge in paddle board rentals.
- Free Horseback Riding – Complimentary rides for the whole family.
- Petting Zoo – A favorite for the little ones.
- Food & Shopping – Black owned food vendors, makers, and artisans.
- Raffle Prizes & Vendor Bingo – Visit the vendors, complete your bingo card, and enter to win raffle prizes.

Black Miners Bar sits right on Lake Natoma in Folsom Lake State Recreation Area.

How much are tickets?
Entry is free.
Is parking available?
Parking is $10 per car, paid at the Black Miners Bar entrance kiosk (cash or card). A current State Park Pass or Golden Bear Pass covers the parking fee.
What should we bring?
Pack for a full day at the beach: lawn chairs, a blanket, sunscreen, swimsuit, a hat. Bring cash for parking. Vendors, and the beer garden accept credit cards.
